One of the most tragic things about the Islamic Regime of Iran, is that it has decided to become the enemy of the people.
I am not here to make any value judgements about the religion of Islam; there are definitely those who find some peace and meaning in it, and there are sects of Islam, such as the Sufi and the Druze that focus on spiritual principles, and that challenge the modern black and white narrative of meme culture and anti Muslim talking points.
I am not going to pretend that I am a great fan of it, but there are parts of it that I can certainly respect. Islam has a long history in Iran, and it has become a part of its fabric. There were Ayatollahs who were in support of maintaining a monarchy, and Muslim clerics who wrote about democracy and the importance for religion not to slide into becoming despotic and authoritarian; teaching that instead it should be a vessel that helps to protect the people and to support their spiritual growth.

It is a brutal dictatorship that has borrowed elements from the bloody playbook of Communism, and which, in order to satisfy a nation that was married to its religious beliefs, had to put on a black cloak of devotion in order to disguise itself, while continuing to rape Iran of its oil and resources, just as countless others had.

Perhaps in the process of becoming, it began to believe in its own truth. A religion that exists to protect itself, instead of being a benefit to the people, ceases to be a religion and becomes a cult. The Ayatollahs allowed their souls to be seduced by the smell of power and control in 1979, and embraced it in order to usher in a dream of a religious utopia, in the process leaving behind the god they claimed to worship. There is nothing unique about men allowing themselves to get seduced by power.

The Iranian people have paid with a sacrifice of human flesh ever since, and we in the West have been complicit. The blood sacrifice that we allow, is paid for in secret behind closed doors by our leaders, our institutions and our corrupt media, who trade in human blood under the table. I am not surprised that the world is silent while Iran suffers, they are likely so because of the part they played in raping Iran and its resources. They hang their heads in shame silently while continuing to deal in blood money like the leeches they are.

I am not surprised that the world is silent while Iran suffers, they are likely so because of the part they played in raping Iran and its resources.
The world owes a debt to Iran and its people, and I long for the day when Iran is finally free to create a prosperous Iran that is not under the boot of any oppressive regime, no matter which flag it flies. Iran belongs to the people and the people have paid for it with enough blood.
